Inspiration

Some images that I've found inspiring recently:

mosaic of solid improv quilts found on flickr

1. Hole In The Barn Door Improv, 2. Melissa's Quilt, 3. Dancing Diamonds #3, 4. Binding on Scrap Log Cabin, 5. Dancing Diamonds II, 6. Cherry Street, 7. My Favorite Crayons, 8. Bob, 9. Mod-Mood Quilt, Summer 2010, detail

Been thinking about improv quilts using solids.
What have you been thinking about?

  1. Gorgeous! I particularly love the middle one and the bottom right. I've been thinking about missing my sewing machine.

  2. I love those images. I too have a desire to do things with solids:

These were dome with some scraps. So much fun.

  3. I've seen some of those pics and been thinking the same thing! Got to give it a go. I bought a whole stack of plain fabric and am just staring at it at the moment. It's easy to start when you have a pile of scraps but harder to cut to a plan with no design to guide you.

Looking forward to your next creation.
