A quilty finish

Aaaaaaaahhhhh .... back to my usual bright warm colours!

Values quilt - Detail

I finally finished this quilt started way back last year.

It has been sitting in my UFO pile for way too long, basted, just waiting to be quilted and bound.

Values quilt - quilting

Of course, once I got going, it was a pretty quick finish. Just a day or 2.

Values quilt - Front

It ended up pretty big .... 78 inches square.

Values quilt - binding

I went for the fancy shmancy binding again after using it on this quilt.
I really like the effect of this technique!

Values quilt - strewn

For the backing, I have used a gorgeous Kaffe Fassett floral print.

Stack o quilts

It sits very happily in the quilt stack in our lounge room, waiting to be snuggled under on a cold wintry day.
I fear these are coming all too quickly. Where did you go Summer?

This quilt is so amazing mate!
    Great choice on the backing.
Isn't funny how we put things off for so long then once we start them again, they are finished in no time!

Love the stack of quilts too, your family are lucky! We (currently) only have one quilt for our living room, so it's first in best dressed.

  10. I love it! I think its my favourire quilt. I love how the focal point is off to the side. There's probably a proper quilting name for that. And I love the colours too. I do not love the idea of the colder nights though ugh!
Hope you've had a great day Patch Andi. xx
