Right under their noses

We went to visit some friends in their holiday house recently.
They have 3 adult daughters who call the house "The Op Shop" ... and it is NOT meant as a compliment. What do they know?????

I walked around the house snapping away with my camera, totally in awe at some of the treasures they have hidden away ...

This sideboard has the most inspiring geometric details...

I'm posting these images not only to share with you these fabulous retro treasures, but also so that my friend can show her daughters .... so please leave all your positive (but of course honest) comments for them to read.

Also, here are some fab images I have collected to show them (and you) via the wonder that is flickr.
Hooray for vintage chic!

Wow - that is an amazing collection - worth serious $$$ in Melbourne retro circles. A bit of new upholstery and this place could be any home magazine. Lucky!

Three words: To. Die. For. The daughters will all want that stuff in a few years!

Mid Century Modern=Nothing Better! Love all the great stuff! I just recently acquired 2 dressers that are from the 50's and I LOVE them so much. Now I want to do my whole house in that style! Those pieces are hard to come by and when you do find them, it's usually super expensive!
