I was basting a quilt this morning and my littlest one asked if she could help.
I suggested she put in some pins for me.
She found it quite tricky. Her little fingers are not quite adept enough to do the job.
But I'm glad she wants to be involved.
I must admit, I've been having little fantasies of never having to baste a quilt again. My little helper can do it for me.
;-)
Hope you and your families are having a lovely Christmas day.
Andi xx
That top photo is amazing!

ReplyDeleteI never knew what basting meant about a quilt and I was always embarrased to ask.... I just new it as a cooking term.
You have a very beautifull and sweet daughter :) I am always impressed by how the little ones want to help :)
ReplyDeleteAww, I love seeing those little hands get involved. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteoooh...i'm already envious of the idea of never having to baste again! looks like a fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the charming redhead - and an interesting quilt. Have you told her that redheads rule? We do!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, i get my children involved all the time, super handy when wrestling a large quilt flat into layers. Merry Christmas, love Posie
ReplyDeleteTrain 'em while they're young, I reckon.... before they wise up to the notion that we're exploiting their crafting enthusiasm to speed through boring bits of our own projects. (Unfortunately, my girl wised up early, and now delegates the boring bits of her own projects TO ME!!).
ReplyDeleteBTW - Your daughter has FANTASTIC hair!
how lucky to have such a beautiful helper. she is divine
