For a new baby boy called ....
The backing is a snuggly flanellette and the request for the binding was satin so he can rub it on his nose for comfort.
It's a fairly small quilt .... 24 inches x 34 inches.
Fabrics purchased at the last
Amitie sale. Missed it? There's another one tomorrow!!!!
Have fun shopping. I live vicariously through you, due to my current
fabric diet. :-(
Andi :-)
I wove it!!!
ReplyDeleteOoo! I have that robot fabric AND I got it from Amitie. We must be twins.
ReplyDeleteI bet you had lots of fun attaching the satin binding?!!
ReplyDeleteIt made me giggle that you wrote Garfield in Orange :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt.
Really cute!
ReplyDeleteGood idea about a fabric diet!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to be good and follow your lead, fabric wise.
ReplyDeleteBut then you wafted voile under my nose, so now you can live vicariously though me as I go get voiled!
Super cute and I love the proportions, looks great!
ReplyDeleteI think I need a fabric diet. Instead I was Amitied on Friday and am now hiding pieces of the sale stash around the house ....
ReplyDeleteaah I love that shop ......
beautiful. i love the snuggliness of the flannelette and the satin binding for nose rubbing. so cute. seeing all your lovely projects is not helping my fabric diet. too tempting
ReplyDeletevery cute baby quilt - love the stain edging and the name applique. Baby projects are always fun to make.
ReplyDelete*Sigh* It's really lovely Andi, love the appliqued name and the flanelette backing.
ReplyDeleteThe silky binding was the best idea. The babies love it! I have only done it on woollen blankets. I must give it a go on a patchwork.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful! A perfect sized and textured baby quilt!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the appliqued name. What a special baby gift that will be cherished.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful quilt, especially since it was made for my son :)
ReplyDeleteHe loves it and we love it as well.
Thankyou.
