(Those of you who didn't grow up in Australia might not recognise the song but it's an absolute Aussie classic!!)
I chose the Kona solid fabrics using my handy colour card that I won over at Lorraine's place.
Thanks so much Lorraine. I'm sure it will come in handy for many a future shopping trip!!
Picture taken from Lorraine's blog
The front features Heather Ross's 'Princess and the Pea' fabric together with a couple of her other delightful prints.
Also included are some of my other favourite fabric designers including Denyse Schmidt, Anna Maria Horner, Prints Charming, Valori Wells and, of course, Jennifer Paganelli.
I used Jess's binding technique which is the same as Rita's approach up until sewing the binding down on the back.
At that point, Jess flips the quilt over so she can actually see what she's sewing at the back and uses invisible thread in the bobbin.
Brilliant!!!!
I really enjoyed making this little quilt. I hope the new owners enjoy it too!!!!

Gorgeous Andi, Love the colours!
What a beautiful quilt! I am back to hand sewing my binding, the machine way just NEVER works for me!
Love the quilt! What a neat idea to put the child's name like that on the back! I love that! Did you just applique it to the backing fabric? How do you cut your letters? I have a Cricket machine, I guess I could just make a template with that and then cut the fabric out! I think I'm going to steal this idea on my next baby quilt that I'm giving after the baby is born. So cute!
such beauty!!
Such beautiful colours.... I can't go past pink and orange together. Bliss!
That is one gorgeous quilt! Lucky Edi (short for Edith?). Not sure I can forgive you for putting that song in my head probably for the rest of the day. X
My fave fabrics! Just scroed some hR at the show, as you saw, plus all the others, my dream quilt. I can change my name....

When I was working there was a girl in another team called evie and everytime I'd pick up the phone to call her or mention her the guy next to me would break out into song! it wasn't funny after a while but I always remember that song!
