My dear girlfriend had a baby boy yesterday.
It took her quite a while to find her Mr Right, but when she finally met him, everything quickly fell into place ... except falling pregnant ... which took longer than expected.
So you can imagine my excitement at the arrival of little Jonah.
I wanted to make her something QUICKLY!!! So I put together a simple little quilt (about 35 inches square .... just the right size for a pram cover or a portable play mat) with a matching carry bag.
With less than a 24 hour turn around, I think that it is a sweet little quilt. It reminds me that 'simple' can sometimes be just what you need!!
I'm off to meet him now!!
Hope your weekend has started as happily as mine.
Andi :-)

It's absolutely fab, I'm sure little Jonah will be all snuggly either on or under it, and his Mummy will just love it too!
Great job :)
It is a sweet quilt and the letter makes it special just for Jonah. The bag to keep it in is just lovely and almost as nice as the quilt. What a lucky new mum. I wish her luck and lots of lovely times ahead with her baby.
What a great start to the weekend -
A very sweet babyquilt for Jonah! Love the appliqued J.
Enjoy these happy times with your friend and her baby!
A perfect little gift.

This absolutely lovely. So cute!! Also, thanks for linking to my little blog :) I've put yours in my RSS feed, you've made some gorgeous stuff!
Supersweet! Love that it comes in its own carry bag, and that the quilt carries Jonah's initial. Really nice details!

Oh how exciting! She must have been overwhelmed with your beautiful and personal gift. Jonah is such a great boy's name. Have a great Sunday. X ps I haven't forgotten the hat pattern, the boy and the scanner have been impossible to connect.
