YOU should be so proud! Juxtaposition of fabrics, begging the looker to reach out and feel, crinkly-wrinkly from the quilting, ...love at first sight. Scenes like that on your coach are why I could never give up this artfrom. ~anna in md, right near my hometown of DC
Your quilt is lovely, Andi. I like the way you used some solid (linen?) in the layout. And the handquilting is beautiful too, that's a big quilt to do by hand!! Your quilt make me want to buy some Wonderland fabric...
Can't thank you enough for that inspiration!! I have had a multi pack of Amy Butler sample strips - each strip is 4.5 inches wide - sitting on the shelf for ages. I used a few in coin quilts for babies, but really a project with squares is the best option. It's already underway... Fran
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful. I love the handquilting you made, and of course the fabrics. The patchwork cheater fabric is my favourite. Thanks so much for the link to this post, and for visiting my blog too.
its sooo beautiful! I was thinking of doing a rag quilt first and then after a dissapearing 9 patch... I have 4 packages of charm squares, yay! is hand quilting difficult? did you use a hoop?
