Tutorials in Wonderland

Made myself a Biscornu pincushion today using this tutorial.

Fabric is from the Wonderland range by MoMo.

Also using the same fabrics (2 charm packs and a jelly roll plus some linen from Amitie), I made this quilt top .....

Now I just need to baste, quilt and bind. No biggie!!

Aaaaargh!!!

Also, I made another one of these for another gift .....

A couple of people have asked me for a tutorial on this one. It's in the pipelines but I haven't yet perfected the method.
Need to make a couple more, me thinks.

(What is the ettiquette for offering a tutorial for something that wasn't your idea in the first place?)

On the back, I gave it a label .... (Sorry about the blurry shot).

To make the label, I used this tutorial that I found via Bec's blog.

That's all for now.

I'm off to bed.

Happy stitchin'.

Andi :-)

Oh I love the scissor fabric on the pincushion!I love these gifts you are making. If you got the original idea but made up your own pattern and variation, email the person you got the idea from and ask if they mind you doing a tut and offer to link back. They'll usually be flattered and be happy about you asking permission, explain your changes.

ooh, great label! I have to admit, I couldn't join the 2 lines together, that's why I have only 1 line! A bit computer illiterate sometimes!Amazing quilt top, too, such tiny squares! I had to stop tonight, blunt rotary cutter driving me nuts!

Just realized I didn't specify which fabric I was talking about - the crayon book one. Also, your quilt top is awesome. I'm in love with the Wonderland collection! I have 2 charm packs at home ready to make a coin quilt with.

that scissors fabric is talking to me in so many crafts. I love everything you posted in here. The notepad thingy is really cute and I think that although other crafters had made them you still can offer your own "how to" tutorial which I will totally take to make some of those for the fairies.

Love those cars! Yes, off to Melbourne, serviced apartment for 2 - 3 weeks while we find somewhere. Not going to be easy finding a place with 2 kids in tow but it shouldn't be too bad! Thinking Prahan, Prahan East, Malvern, St Kilda or Elwood.
